Freeths advises on Inflexion investment deal

Leading law firm Freeths has played a crucial role in advising Ranger Fire and Security (Ranger) and its shareholders on a prominent majority investment from European mid-market private equity firm Inflexion. Ranger stands out as a notable fire and security services platform operating throughout the UK and Ireland. The company offers comprehensive solutions tailored for businesses, charities, and public sector organisations. Its impressive growth trajectory has been supported by a buy-and-build strategy, leading to over 25 acquisitions, the employment of more than 500 people, and generating revenues surpassing £75 million.

Inflexion, managing assets worth €20 billion, is particularly known for its backing of high-growth entrepreneurial businesses, championing their expansion via strategic investments and acquisitions. As part of this transaction, Hyperion Equity Partners will also contribute a considerable re-investment alongside Inflexion, highlighting their sustained confidence in Ranger’s growth strategy. This partnership is expected to bolster Ranger's ongoing acquisition programme, enhance integration across the group, and pursue its ambition of establishing a national fire and security services platform, with aspirations for future international expansion.

Freeths provided invaluable expertise throughout this transaction, with Corporate Partner Zum Mohammed leading the negotiations.
