Freeths has successfully guided LNT Care Developments through a significant £1.1 billion sale and leaseback transaction
Leading UK law firm Freeths has played a pivotal role in advising LNT Care Developments on a transformative sale and leaseback agreement with CareTrust REIT. The transaction marks one of the largest healthcare real estate deals in the UK care sector in recent years, involving the acquisition of freehold interests in 45 operational and in-development care homes throughout England and Wales, valued at about £1.1 billion.
LNT Care Developments stands out as one of the UK’s foremost care home developers, having successfully delivered over 275 care homes nationwide. This recent transaction not only underscores investor confidence in the sector but also sets a robust platform for ongoing investment in the development of high-quality care homes, thus addressing the rising demand for modern care facilities across the UK.
Freeths’ Health & Social Care team has been a long-term advisor to LNT Care Developments, collaborating closely with Slaughter and May throughout the transaction process.
