Fletchers Group acquires Rayden Solicitors

Fletchers Group's acquisition of Rayden Solicitors marks its entry into Family Law and future growth potential
Fletchers Group, a prominent player in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury law, has made a significant step by agreeing to acquire Rayden Solicitors, a highly respected Family Law firm in the UK. This acquisition represents the Group’s first foray into Family Law, adding a new specialist pillar alongside its Serious Injury and Clinical Negligence operations. Founded in 2005 by Katherine Rayden, Raydens has established itself as one of the largest specialist Family Law firms in England and Wales, expanding its presence from St Albans to various locations, including Buckinghamshire, Essex, Central London, and Birmingham.
With 113 employees, Raydens is positioned well for future growth, and following the deal, the firm will retain its brand, offices, and leadership team. Katherine Rayden will also join the Fletchers Group Executive Committee, ensuring continuity for clients, who will still receive trusted service, now enhanced by Fletchers Group’s investment and strategic support to drive expansion.
Peter Haden, CEO of Fletchers Group, expressed a clear vision for the acquisition, stating “Our strategy is clear: to invest in brilliant specialist firms and help them grow more quickly, help more clients, and strengthen their organisation.” He further highlighted the goal of establishing a national leader in Family Law through both organic and inorganic growth strategies.
“Our experience in scaling up specialist legal practices gives us a strong platform to support Raydens’ next stage of growth,” Haden added, pointing to Fletchers' expertise in marketing, client service, and the innovative use of technology and AI.
Katherine Rayden, Founder and Senior Partner at Raydens, also welcomed the partnership, saying “This is a fantastic opportunity for us; we are delighted to be joining forces with Fletchers Group.” She emphasised that the merger would enhance both the capabilities of her team and the service provided to clients while retaining the valued Raydens brand.
The agreement is yet to receive approval from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), but it marks a pivotal moment for both firms as they align their resources and expertise in a high-growth area of law viewed as ripe for consolidation.
