Fletchers appoints Steven Horsley to lead team

Fletchers Solicitors has appointed Steven Horsley to head a team dedicated to military injuries
Fletchers Solicitors has announced the expansion of its serious injury practice with the appointment of Steven Horsley as a new partner, tasked with establishing and leading a dedicated military injury team. With over 20 years of legal experience, Steven brings a wealth of expertise, having previously worked at Hugh James where he served as a partner in its military department. His new role will be based at Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire, strategically positioned to support serving personnel and veterans.
Steven's legal practice covers a wide array of complex claims related to military service. This includes cases involving training accidents, defective equipment, heat and cold injuries, military clinical negligence, as well as claims associated with carcinogenic and toxic exposure. Notably, he led the significant Sea King litigation against the Ministry of Defence, addressing serious allegations that military personnel developed cancer due to toxic exhaust fumes emitted by Sea King helicopters.
In expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Steven said “I’m delighted to be joining Fletchers Solicitors at such an exciting time in the firm’s journey. They’ve shown real commitment to building a specialist service for military personnel, a community of clients who have endured so much and deserve the same dedication from their litigators which they have shown throughout a life of service.”
Caroline Morris, Managing Director of Serious Injury at Fletchers, echoed this sentiment, stating “Steven is a real asset to the business and we are thrilled to have him leading our military injury team going forward. We hope this expansion in our serious injury offering demonstrates our unwavering support for armed forces personnel injured or affected in the line of duty.”
Alongside Steven, the new military injury team will also include paralegals Aleksandra Dabrowska and Caitlin Palmer-Grainger, further strengthening the firm’s commitment to providing expert legal support for those in the armed forces.
