Express Solicitors expands with Sorrymate acquisition

Express Solicitors has acquired Sorrymate, enhancing support for motorcyclists injured in accidents nationwide and fostering growth in legal services dedicated to bikers
This acquisition allows Express to reinforce its commitment to delivering exceptional representation for injured individuals, particularly within the motorcycling community. James Maxey, CEO at Express Solicitors, expressed pride in the purchase, saying "Sorrymate has become a respected and recognisable name among bikers and we are proud to bring it into the Express Solicitors family." By integrating Sorrymate’s specialized approach, Express aims to combine its extensive resources with the trusted reputation of Sorrymate, which has long been a staple within the motorcycling community. The acquisition will also see key Sorrymate directors, including Paul McKittrick, Mark Flynn, and Louise Burns-Lunt, transitioning to the Express group while continuing to represent the brand at various events. McKittrick remarked, "Joining Express Solicitors marks an exciting new chapter for Sorrymate. Our clients will continue to receive the same dedicated, biker focused service they know us for — now backed by the scale, resources and expertise of the UK’s biggest personal injury claimant firm." This move aligns with Express Solicitors' strategic growth plan and follows its previous acquisition of Aegis Legal in 2026. Maxey concluded, “We’re working on others, our strategy is very firmly focused on acquisition-based expansion, supported by the investment we secured from Ufenau Capital Partners at the end of last year.” With this acquisition, Express aims to enhance the support and assistance available to motorcyclists while maintaining Sorrymate's strong identity within the community
