Excello Law launches US expansion

Excello Law expands into California, marking its second international office following its Dubai launch
Excello Law has announced its first expansion into the United States with the launch of Excello Law US LLP. This move follows the firm’s successful international launch in Dubai earlier this year. The announcement, originally planned for an earlier date, was delayed out of respect for those affected by the devastating fires in California.
George Bisnought, founder and CEO of Excello Law, said the firm’s thoughts are with those impacted by the fires and emphasised that Excello prioritises people. He added that while this expansion is an exciting milestone, the firm wanted to approach it sensitively while contributing to recovery efforts. He highlighted California’s immense opportunities and alignment with Excello’s growth vision.
Excello Law US LLP has been authorised by the California State Bar and will establish its first office in Santa Barbara. The US operations will be led by J. Paul Gignac, a seasoned West Coast litigator with expertise in real estate, intellectual property, entertainment, trusts and class actions. In addition to launching the office, J. Paul and his team are leading a group claim supporting victims of the Eaton Canyon Fire.
J. Paul Gignac said he is thrilled to join Excello Law and lead its US expansion, adding that the firm’s innovative model resonates with his commitment to flexibility and entrepreneurial freedom. He noted that helping victims of the Eaton Canyon Fire aligns with Excello’s values and dedication to making a meaningful impact.
Excello selected California as the starting point for its US expansion due to the state’s high concentration of law firms and the rapid growth of fee-share legal models. The firm sees California as a strategic launchpad for further expansion across the US.
George Bisnought stated that Excello Law US LLP enhances the firm’s ability to handle US-based legal matters, refer work seamlessly between regions and build its presence in a key international market. He added that J. Paul’s leadership will be instrumental in developing a full-service practice rooted in Excello’s ethos of entrepreneurialism, flexibility and tailored support for lawyers.
This expansion marks the start of Excello Law’s broader international growth plans, with further US states and global markets under consideration. The firm has also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting California communities affected by the fires and contributing to recovery efforts.
