Eversheds Sutherland has reinforced its European disputes platform with the appointment of two new partners in Belgium and Germany, bolstering its focus on regulatory enforcement and complex competition litigation
Monica Rodriguez joins the Brussels office, enhancing the firm's corporate crime and white-collar investigations expertise, while Maxim Kleine promotes antitrust and competition law from the Hamburg office. Rodriguez, with over ten years at Belgian law firm Eubelius, is recognised for her strategic insight in corporate crime matters, providing clients with guidance through intricate legal landscapes involving fraud and financial misconduct. Emphasising her enthusiasm about the role, Rodriguez remarked “I am delighted to be joining Eversheds Sutherland at a time when regulatory enforcement, investigations and cross border corporate crime matters are becoming increasingly complex and interconnected.” Meanwhile, Kleine, previously the head of GÖRG’s Antitrust practice, possesses extensive experience in cartel investigations and enforcement actions in Germany. He noted “Competition and regulatory scrutiny are intensifying across Europe, and clients are increasingly facing complex, high stakes investigations and damages actions that span multiple jurisdictions.” Their appointments align with Eversheds Sutherland's strategy to expand its pan-European disputes capabilities, responding to burgeoning regulatory challenges and ensuring seamless support for clients navigating complex cross-border issues.
