The government's latest financial support measures do not go far enough to protect firms, Law Society president Simon Davis has said, although they will bring temporary relief. Among its recommendations to the treasury's 2020 comprehensive spending review, the Society called for investment in the future of legal services 'to release their full potential'. Davis said significant economic challenges lay ahead for firms, with the sector likely to be disproportionately hit by a no deal Brexit.
