DWF announces significant appointments in its Insurance and Commercial Services divisions as new leaders take charge
DWF has officially appointed David Abbott as Managing Partner of its Insurance Services division, following Matthew Doughty’s transition to Group CEO on 1st August 2025. David, a prominent figure in the London insurance market, possesses extensive experience in areas such as reinsurance, political risk, political violence, trade credit, and energy. His industry credentials include roles on various key bodies, establishing him as a trusted expert in the field. Supporting David in his new role is Paul Jenks, who now takes on the position of Chief Operating Officer within the Insurance Services division.
In parallel, Claire Keat has been appointed as Managing Director of DWF’s Commercial Services division. Claire’s extensive tenure at DWF, where she has worked for over seven years, has equipped her with valuable insights into the firm’s strategic goals. Her prior position as Director of Operations saw her play a pivotal role in shaping the divisional strategy. Claire takes over from Paul Rimmer, who has led the division for more than five years, and has now transitioned to a new role as Group Senior Partner. In this capacity, Paul will focus on growth and client service, acting as senior sponsor of the firm’s Market Groups.
