DWF advises Hypax on major acquisition

DWF has successfully assisted Hypax in acquiring Metra Non-Ferrous Metals Ltd. from GRILLO Werke AG
DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has recently advised Hypax on its acquisition of Metra Non-Ferrous Metals Ltd. from German industrial group GRILLO Werke AG in a carve-out transaction. This acquisition marks a significant step for Hypax, reflecting ongoing trends in private equity where high-quality, non-core assets are becoming attractive targets for investors. The complexity inherent in this cross-border carve-out transaction necessitated comprehensive legal support from DWF across various aspects such as corporate, financing, and real estate.
The DWF team, which played a crucial role in the deal, included partner Amrish Sharma, director Duntan Emmanuel, senior associates Kartik Monga and Michael Medici, along with solicitor Claire Dowle.
