DLA Piper supports Engle Martin acquisition

DLA Piper has successfully guided Engle Martin & Associates in acquiring Integra Technical Services Group, enhancing its global reach through strategic expansion
DLA Piper has announced its advisory role in the acquisition of Integra Technical Services Group by Engle Martin & Associates, a prominent independent loss adjusting and claims management provider. This strategic acquisition, completed on 1 October 2025, aims to enhance Engle Martin's capabilities in managing complex claims across various sectors such as construction, engineering, energy, and mining. Founded in 1998, Integra has built a strong presence internationally, with over 50 claim managers operating across the US, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia providing customised adjusting solutions.
Jonathan Watkins, Head of DLA Piper's Corporate practice in the UK, led a diverse team that underscored the firm's extensive expertise in handling multifaceted cross-border transactions. Watkins remarked that "the acquisition of Integra is a key part of Engle Martin's growth strategy and expansion into new markets" and emphasised that this move would allow Integra to tap into Engle Martin's extensive US network while also fostering growth in established and emerging markets. He added that "advising on such a complex global mandate is a key example of how our firm can support businesses on their cross-border M&A transactions in specialised sectors."
The team delivering this high-stakes advice comprised Corporate Associates Joanna Shepherd and William Barrett, alongside partners from DLA Piper's other practices, including Finance, Real Estate, Litigation & Regulatory, and Intellectual Property & Technology (IPT). This collaborative effort involved numerous offices in the UK, Australia, the Middle East, the US, Singapore, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
Notably, under the terms of the acquisition, Integra will remain a standalone entity, retaining its brand, market position, leadership team, and service model. This strategic decision signifies Engle Martin's commitment to nurturing its newly acquired asset while capitalising on broader market opportunities.
DLA Piper continues to solidify its position as a leader in M&A, being named the highest-ranked legal advisor for M&A (by volume) for the 15th consecutive year by Mergermarket and the most active legal advisor for European private equity for the seventh consecutive year by PitchBook. The firm’s recent portfolio of notable M&A transactions serves as a testament to its robust capability in navigating complex advisory services, thereby reaffirming its preeminence in the legal landscape.
