The High Court has underlined its stance on fraudulent criminal negligence claims this month, imposing an immediate five-month custodial sentence on a woman found to have exaggerated her claim. The decision in Elder v George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust related to an exaggerated claim seeking to recover more than £2m.
