Cheshire law firm welcomes new solicitor

Watsons Solicitors enhances its conveyancing team with the qualification of Louise Turner as a solicitor
A well-respected law firm in Cheshire is celebrating the growth of its conveyancing team following the qualification of Louise Turner, a trainee solicitor who has now secured a permanent position with the firm. Louise, 26, began her journey with Watsons Solicitors, based in Warrington, in 2024, and has successfully completed an intensive 18-month training programme alongside managing a full caseload in conveyancing.
Louise brought a solid educational background to her new role, holding an LLB honours degree from the University of Liverpool and a Master of Law in professional legal practice from the University of Law. Speaking about her achievement, she said “Qualifying as a solicitor is something I have been working towards for ten years, so reaching this point means a huge amount to me.”
Reflecting on her time at Watsons, she expressed gratitude for the opportunities she has had, stating “Watsons trusted me with real responsibility from early in my time here, which has helped me develop enormously both professionally and personally.” Louise also credited her legal secretary, Lynn Bentley, along with the wider team, family, and friends for their unwavering support during her training.
While she is relieved to put down the books for now, Louise is eager to use her experiences to inspire and mentor others entering the profession. Throughout her tenure at Watsons, she has benefited from the guidance of senior colleagues, exemplifying the firm’s commitment to fostering talent.
Chris Illingworth, a partner at Watsons, highlighted the significance of supporting the growth of staff within the business. He remarked “Louise has developed significantly since joining us and has earned this opportunity through her commitment, ability, and hard work. She has taken on increasing responsibility during her training and has become an important part of the conveyancing team.”
Elaborating on the firm’s philosophy, Chris stated “We want talented people to be able to build their careers at Watsons. Giving people the opportunity, experience, and support to progress is important both for their development and for the long-term strength of the firm.”
