Cartwright publishes its Bitcoin Review

Cartwright Pension Trusts shares insights on Bitcoin's recent developments to guide pension trustees and investors
Cartwright Pension Trusts has released its second annual Bitcoin Review, providing a comprehensive analysis for pension trustees, investors, and advisers regarding the evolution of Bitcoin over the past year. The report, named The Bitcoin Review 2026, delves into significant themes such as regulatory changes, institutional and sovereign adoption, corporate balance sheets, and energy usage. It also examines the overall monetary landscape, alongside the price fluctuations of Bitcoin, highlighting various avenues available for investors eager to gain exposure to the cryptocurrency.
Arash Nasri, Senior Investment Consultant at Cartwright Pension Trusts, remarked “Bitcoin is becoming increasingly difficult for institutional investors to ignore. We are seeing developments across regulation, access, sovereign adoption and corporate adoption that would have seemed very different just a few years ago. For pension trustees, that does not mean that Bitcoin should necessarily form part of a scheme’s portfolio. But, it does mean they need to understand what is happening, consider the potential implications for their scheme and be comfortable with the reasons for either taking an interest or deciding that it is not appropriate.”
The report aims to serve as an educational tool, helping pension trustees, investors, advisers, and charity trustees comprehend the opportunities, risks, and broader implications tied to Bitcoin. With an ever-evolving landscape, the review hopes to empower its readers to make well-informed decisions regarding their investment strategies.
