Buckles Law acquires Miller Rosenfalck boutique

Buckles Law has expanded its international offering by acquiring specialist London boutique Miller Rosenfalck to enhance capabilities
Peterborough-based Buckles Law has successfully acquired London’s Miller Rosenfalck, a boutique law firm recognised for its expertise in cross-border matters, particularly within the German and Scandinavian markets. This strategic acquisition unites two firms with a robust international focus, enhancing Buckles’ capabilities in London and cross-border legal services.
The newly appointed partners at Buckles include Edzard Clifton-Dey (employment), Kevin Harrison, John Kenneally, and Chris Rodda (dispute resolution), Steen Rosenfalck (corporate commercial), and Isabel Sylvestre (immigration). Miller Rosenfalck is known for its distinctive practice, advising businesses from or with interests in regions such as Germany, Scandinavia, France, Italy, and North America on establishing their presence in the UK. This unique approach is evidenced by their multilingual and dual-qualified legal team, which possesses the skills to navigate various legal systems and cultural contexts.
Following the acquisition, Buckles' commercial capabilities in areas like employment, dispute resolution, and corporate work have gained significant strength, including the introduction of an immigration service line designed to support both individuals and businesses. Duncan Jackson, CEO of Buckles Law, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, stating that "international work has always set Buckles apart from other regional firms and Miller Rosenfalck shares that outlook. Their lawyers bring deep knowledge of German and Danish business, alongside real strength in employment, disputes and corporate work."
Steen Rosenfalck, the founder of Miller Rosenfalck, also added his thoughts on the acquisition, saying, “Our clients come to us because we understand their legal system and their culture and very often we speak their language too. Joining Buckles gives them access to a far wider range of expertise without losing any of that.”
The acquisition is a continuation of Buckles’ long-standing commitment to international legal work, complementing existing teams focusing on French and Spanish law and reinforcing its presence in key European markets with resident consultants in Paris and Milan. Additionally, this move aligns with recent trends in overseas investment, reflecting notable growth in German investment in London, which has reportedly more than doubled in recent years.
