Browne Jacobson reports record revenue growth

Browne Jacobson achieved a record revenue of £148.8m, positioning itself for future growth through expansion and innovation
Browne Jacobson has once again showcased its strategic prowess by achieving record revenue of £148.8m for the year, reflecting a 9% increase from the previous year. This remarkable growth spans various sectors, including health and life sciences, education, and financial services, indicating the firm’s robust position as a leader in the legal industry. Notably, this revenue was achieved before the integration of Browne Jacobson Northern Ireland, which added £5.5m to the firm’s portfolio following its recent acquisition in May 2026.
“This has been a year of purposeful investment, bold ambition and significant progress,” stated Richard Medd, Managing Partner at Browne Jacobson. Through strategic expansion in Ireland and investment in artificial intelligence, the firm has effectively positioned itself as a trusted adviser to a diverse range of businesses. The Cardiff office has relocated due to regional growth, and the Manchester office has doubled in size, demonstrating the firm’s commitment to investing in infrastructure.
Browne Jacobson has executed 13 lateral partner hires during the last financial year, including six hires in London, enhancing its expertise across core sectors. The firm’s significant advancements in technological capability include the rollout of its AI legal solution Legora, part of a wider strategy to advance digital fluency among staff. This investment is designed to empower employees to fully leverage opportunities in artificial intelligence and evolving technologies.
Key projects undertaken by the firm illustrate its broad reach and influence, including advisory roles for global brands such as SKIMS on new store openings and the Welsh Government on major energy projects. Richard Medd noted that the firm is increasingly favoured by organisations undergoing complex transformations, highlighting their commitment to connecting various sectors to unlock opportunities.
Browne Jacobson also launched its Investing in the UK and Ireland report, gathering insights from C-suite leaders to understand the landscape for businesses investing in these regions. Their ongoing #PositivePurpose campaign further positions the firm as a champion for social mobility and inclusion, showcasing how organisations can achieve commercial success while fostering societal benefits.
Acknowledged as a top-tier firm, Browne Jacobson has recently been recognised as ‘Law Firm of the Year’ at the Chambers and Partners awards and features prominently in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Europe rankings. Tim Johnson was awarded as the “most innovative legal practitioner” for simplifying complex legal language.
By integrating innovation with legal expertise, Browne Jacobson is committed to addressing pressing challenges within business and society. Their dedication to social mobility and changing traditional barriers to progression showcases a forward-thinking approach destined to create lasting value for clients, communities, and the legal profession as a whole.
