Bevan Brittan, a prominent national law firm, is making waves in 2024 with its fifth senior hire, reinforcing its commitment to excellence. The latest addition, Partner Lucy Doran, brings a wealth of expertise in large infrastructure projects and procurement, enhancing the firm's Commercial Health team during a period of increased demand.

Lucy Doran, previously a Partner at Trowers & Hamlins in London, served as the lead legal adviser on diverse large-scale infrastructure projects. Her role included crucial responsibilities such as contract drafting, negotiation, and providing procurement counsel. With experience spanning sectors like health, local government, regeneration, housing, and education, Lucy has a robust track record advising public sector clients and their project stakeholders from inception to operation.

Sharon Renouf, Partner and leader of the Commercial Health team at Bevan Brittan, expressed enthusiasm about Lucy's arrival, stating, “Lucy is another strong addition to our team and to our business as a whole which maintains the momentum we have established from the very beginning of the year."

Bevan Brittan has strategically expanded its teams in 2024, not only in the Commercial Health sector but also in other key areas. Three additions were made to the Housing team, and a fourth to the Energy & Resource Management team, showcasing the firm's commitment to diverse legal expertise.

Renouf emphasised Bevan Brittan's appeal to experienced professionals, saying, "Lucy’s arrival shows yet again that Bevan Brittan is an attractive destination for experienced and well-regarded senior people who want to develop their careers in a firm which has grown consistently and continues to increase its client base across the public and private sector."

Lucy Doran expressed her excitement about joining Bevan Brittan, highlighting the firm's reputation as a leader in the Commercial Health and public sector procurement marketplace. She looks forward to contributing her experience to the already impressive team, stating, "The team here already has impressive breadth and depth, and I am looking forward to adding my experience and working with new colleagues to meet the challenges facing private and public sector clients."

This recruitment follows Bevan Brittan's announcement of four senior hires in January, marking a robust start to the year. The firm's growth momentum is evident, building on a successful 2023 where it achieved its tenth consecutive year of growth, reaching a revenue milestone of £67.3 million. As Bevan Brittan continues to expand its talent pool, it reinforces its position as a legal powerhouse dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of its diverse clientele.
