Barristers' Chambers welcomes Head of People

By

Leading barristers’ chambers Serle Court has appointed a new Head of People, Juliette Drummond to its management and administration team

Juliette has significant experience in a diverse range of human resources functions that support management and staff in achieving organisational goals. Juliette joins from Slaughter and May, where she was a Business Partner in the HR department. Prior to this Juliette worked at various prestigious firms including Charles Russell Speechlys, Fieldfisher and Lewis Silkin.

Her appointment demonstrates Serle Court’s continued commitment to producing a high quality, responsible and forward-thinking service for both clients and members.

The role of Head of People encompasses progressing the culture, values, and ESG at Serle Court, such as keeping EDI policies current and being an advocate for change where necessary. Juliette ensures that barristers are fully supported in all aspects of their practice from the moment they walk in the door – from pupil to King’s Counsel.

Juliette will be overseeing chambers’ cultivation of internal talent and managing the framework for training and development. She will also be working with juniors aspiring to take silk, helping them draft their applications and demystifying the process.

Juliette said: “I am very much looking forward to maintaining and strengthening the operations of the team at Serle Court as we continue to build on the foundations of a strong organisational culture.”

Serle Court Chambers Director Kathryn Purkis commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Juliette to Chambers. Her appointment is testament to our commitment to cultivating internal talent which contributes to Serle Court’s continued growth and success.”
