Apple Corporation has been ordered to give widow Rachel Thompson access to the account of her late husband, who had committed suicide. Mr Thompson's mobile phone contained thousands of family photos and videos. As he had not made a will, Apple insisted that they would only release the account under a court order. Mrs Thompson's lawyers took on her case pro bono. The judge, Jan Luba J, in the Central London County Court called for a change in the rules to make the proceedings cheaper and faster. 11 May 2019
