Anthony Collins joins GCA legal services framework

In a recent announcement, Anthony Collins has been named as a supplier on three areas of the Government Commercial Agency's (GCA) Legal Panel for Public Sector (RM6374), following a new procurement process. The firm's strong reputation for advising local authorities, registered social housing providers, and charities on complex legal and regulatory matters ensures that public sector organisations can now access specialist legal advice more efficiently. This appointment eliminates the lengthy and costly process typically associated with running a full tender programme.

The social purpose law firm has been accepted as a supplier across three lots, which include full legal service provision for local government and local communities, litigation and disputes, and projects and complex advice that covers Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and Private Finance Initiatives (PFI). Eligible organisations can now access pre-approved legal services, thereby supporting the efficient delivery of public services and major projects.

This framework is set to run until August 2029, with the possibility of an extension to 2031. Matthew Gregson, Partner and head of the local government team at Anthony Collins, expressed the importance of timely legal assistance by stating, “Public sector organisations are being asked to deliver more, often against significant financial, operational and regulatory pressures.
