AGRD Partners expands in Nordic region

AGRD Partners has announced the acquisition of Malmö-based law firm Moll Wendén, enhancing its market presence
In a significant move for the Nordic legal landscape, AGRD Partners has welcomed the Malmö-based business law firm Moll Wendén into its fold. This acquisition marks AGRD's first investment in the southern part of Sweden and reinforces the group's commitment to expanding its influence across the region. The announcement follows the recent addition of BBA//Fjeldco, a leading Icelandic law firm, indicating AGRD's ongoing strategic growth.
Founded in 2003, Moll Wendén is renowned for providing specialist legal advice in fifteen practice areas, including employment, corporate, and public procurement. With a strong local presence and a robust international network, the firm has established enduring relationships with a diverse client base. Its focus on innovation and legal technology resonates with AGRD’s mission, making this partnership a promising collaboration.
"Moll Wendén stands out for its combination of specialist expertise, regional strength and forward-looking approach to the evolution of legal services," commented Maria-Pia Hope, Group CEO of AGRD Partners. She highlighted the firm’s significant presence in the Öresund market and its proactive investments in innovation, which complement AGRD's long-term strategy.
AGRD Partners, established in Sweden in 2025 and supported by Nordic PE firm Axcel, aims to revolutionise the legal sector. The group includes an impressive line-up of law firms across the Nordics, such as Allié, Born, Morris Law, Next Law, Synch, and TM & Partners. This diverse coalition benefits from shared resources and a united vision aimed at leveraging technology and innovation in the industry.
With the addition of Moll Wendén, AGRD Partners continues to solidify its expansion, responding to increasing interest in its innovative model both in the Nordics and beyond. In the last five months alone, the group has incorporated four new firms, reflecting its dynamic growth trajectory.
"We have always focused on delivering high-quality legal advice through international, innovative ways of working," said Ebba Walberg Snygg, Managing Partner at Moll Wendén. She expressed enthusiasm for the new partnership, noting that joining AGRD will provide access to valuable resources, enhancing the firm's existing capabilities.
Moll Wendén will retain its name and brand while participating in joint initiatives alongside other AGRD member firms. This collaboration will leverage the group's comprehensive infrastructure, including coordinated technology investments and advancements in AI, ultimately positioning Moll Wendén at the forefront of emerging legal technologies.
