Lewis Silkin expands intellectual property services in Leeds with legal director appointment
Leading law firm Lewis Silkin has announced the appointment of Aaron Trebble as a legal director in its Intellectual Property practice group. This move signifies the expansion of Lewis Silkin's IP360 service to Leeds, strengthening its commitment to serving creative and innovative businesses in the north of England.
With a background in IP litigation and expertise in contentious data protection matters, Aaron Trebble brings valuable experience from his previous role at DLA Piper. His focus spans various sectors, with a particular emphasis on issues affecting software, video games, and technology businesses, including those in the public sector.
Aaron has a comprehensive track record in both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters. His expertise covers brand protection, patent and trademark disputes, copyright and design infringement, passing off, cyber-squatting, and intellectual property issues arising from corporate transactions. Additionally, his contentious data practice involves handling disputes related to subject access and compensation requests.
Having worked on High Court and County Court proceedings, Aaron is well-versed in urgent injunctions, interim relief applications, search orders, and freezing injunctions concerning anti-counterfeiting.
This appointment follows Lewis Silkin's launch in Leeds in May 2023 and the firm's continued expansion of the IP practice in the north of England, led by partner Laura Harper, who joined the Manchester office in 2023.
