Slaughters announce future senior partner

In a surprise move, the firm announced who will take over in 2024

Magic circle firm Slaughter and May has announced Roland Turnill will succeed Steve Cooke as senior partner when he steps down in May 2024, in more than two and a half years’ time. The announcement follows a recent shake up of the firm’s management structure, including the election of its first-ever managing partner. The long lead time was explained by Cooke as being “consistent with our approach of long term decision making as we bring in a new management structure over the coming months”.
