The second edition of this book contains all the cases a practitioner would need when dealing with drink drive cases, including the most recent cases. The book is presented with each chapter dealing with a particular subject, the relevant cases being brought together for this purpose. For example, those cases dealing with breath specimens are dealt with together followed by breath testing and analysis devices and then cases involving evidence. Then follow cases dealing with definitions, defences, special reasons and disqualifications. Each case starts with a very useful summary followed by a statement of the legislation and the facts.

Thereafter the question that was determined by the court is set out followed by the decision. The author also includes relevant quotations from the judgments themselves. This is a very useful book but it clearly cannot replace the transcripts of cases themselves.
