Anthony Armitage
General Counsel, Thirdway
I trained, qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and practiced at Allen & Overy for 8 years before joining Davies Arnold Cooper where I became a partner, specialising in property and commercial work. In 2000 I set up a legal services consultancy business for large public sector organisations and national regulators. I joined Southern Housing Group as its first in-house lawyer in 2011 and I built and led the legal team there over 10 years, providing a general counsel service to the group across all major practice areas. I was Head of Regulatory Management at the Solicitors Regulation Authority from May 2021 to September 2022. I continue to run my consultancy practice.
