WEBCAM WILLS

The first ever UK webcam wills service was launched by Bristol firm ELM Legal Services. The launch was originally due later this year but was accelerated in response to the covid-19 crisis. ELMsaid it has already helped clients via webcam meetings as it converts all face-to-face meetings to digital sessions. When a client has signed up via the website, a free 15-minute virtual meeting is organised followed by a 90-minute webcam consultation when instructions will be taken by an estate planner. Everything is recorded. The will would then be drafted by the legal team and converted into a password protected pdf. 27 April 2020
