The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has told junior lawyers that they can defer compulsory modules in the professional skills course (PSC) for 12 months in response to the covid-19 crisis. The regulator also reminded firms that students do not have to complete the Legal Practice Course before starting their training contracts. Meanwhile, legal practice course assessments have been moved online and training providers have been authorised to provide the PSC remotely. 24 April
