The report is based on a survey of lawyers on the opportunities and risks

The Thomson Reuters Institute published a report on 17 April on ChatGPT and generative artificial intelligence (AI) in law firms, which is based on a survey of lawyers’ attitudes and awareness on the adoption of such technology, as well as their views on the potential risks. According to the report, 82 per cent of those surveyed said they believe that ChatGPT and generative AI can be readily applied to legal work and 51 per cent said that such technology should be applied to legal work. The report is based on a survey of more than 440 lawyers in late-March working for large and mid-sized law firms in the US, the UK and Canada.
