A north London man, Cavan Medlock, has been charged after plotting an act of terrorism against an immigration lawyer at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. Prosecutors allege that Medlock appeared at the firm's offices in Harrow on 7 September, armed with a knife, handcuffs and confederate flags. He is accused of threatening a receptionist, racially abusing other staff and threatening to kill a solicitor. He faces a trial on 17 May, charged with preparation of terrorist acts under section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006. 23 October 2020
