SRA GUIDANCE

By

The SRA has issued guidance clarifying its expectations for qualifying work experience for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), with less than a year until the first sitting of the new qualification. At least two years' experience in providing legal services in up to four organisations must be carried out. Firms must make sure candidates undertake a diverse range of work, expose them to ethical issues and ensure they are effectively supervised. There is guidance for firms and, separately, for candidates. 10 December 2020
