PRACTISING CERTIFICATE

The SRA has extended the practising certificate renewal window until 20 November following issues with its IT system. In a notification to practitioners on its website, the regulator said that 'running renewals on a new IT system and with new telephony' had been 'particularly challenging against the backdrop of the impact of the covid-19'. The SRA apologised for the inconvenience, and said most renewals had been 'straightforward', while others had experienced 'teething problems'. 23 October 2020
