PANDEMIC TOOL

By

A new eBridge tool has been released in response to Covid-19 to help courts globally to maintain services during the pandemic. The platform will enable evidence-sharing between justice agencies and lawyers. CaseLines, who launched the tool, says it is an electronic bridge between the electronic filing systems many courts already have, and the electronic bundle courts needed for remote hearings. The eBridge tool will allow courts to move to electronic bundles for hearings using existing filing protocols. Users will be able to deliver electronic bundles to court; continue modifying the bundles and work with others in the remote courtroom. Secure access to the electronic bundle will be restricted to invited parties, including the judge and court staff who will be able to work on cases remotely, even if in isolation. 23 March
