The founder of Legal Swan Solicitors in Birmingham Lubna Shuja has won the Law Society of England and Wales 2020 election for deputy vice president. Shuja takes office as deputy vice president on 14 October 2020 and will become president in 2022. She has been a Law Society council member since 2013 and chair of the membership and communications committee since 2018. She is also a member of the Law Society Board. Shuja specialises in professional discipline and regulation.
