Irwin Mitchell’s property team has advised property consultancy Gerald Eve on its new lease for a 26,000 sq. ft space at One Fitzroy, London W1.
Gerald Eve will move into the offices, which are prominently located on the corner of Mortimer Street and Cleveland Street, across the first and part of the second floor at the building. One Fitzroy is shared with Estée Lauder and Gerson Lerhman Group.
The property consultancy is making the move to upgrade its office space and accelerate its sustainability commitments. One Fitzroy is rated BREEAM Excellent and achieves a FitWel rating of 2 stars.
Gerald Eve is undertaking a sustainable fit out, saving 100 tonnes of CO2 and reducing embodied carbon by 26 per cent by retaining elements of the existing office space, with all waste being diverted from landfill.
The Irwin Mitchell team was led by Gurpreet Hayer, senior associate in the property team, who said: “We are pleased to have advised Gerald Eve on its prestigious new office location. Our client’s move to this high quality and innovative building, with exceptional ESG credentials, will undoubtedly promote health and wellbeing, amenity and sustainability in the new office space.”
Hayer also advised Gerald Eve on the exit from their premises at Welbeck Street, along with colleague Ben Gildea, also a senior associate.
Fitzroy Place is owned by Ashby Capital and Aviva Investors. Gerald Eve represented itself and Colliers represented Estée Lauder.
Simon Prichard, senior partner at Gerald Eve, said: “In addition to reflecting our ESG ambitions, our new office space is linked to our continued growth and our desire to provide a contemporary, healthy, flexible and market-leading working environment for our expanding team. We look forward to welcoming our staff and our clients to our new office in the coming weeks.”
