A lifetime achievement award was handed to Baroness Helena Kennedy QC at the 2019 Inspirational Women in Law Awards run by The First 100 Years project. The award was one of six to recognise trailblazing women lawyers in their generation. Kennedy has campaigned for equality in the profession for decades and played a major role in the incorporation of the European Convention on Human Rights into UK Law. 21 November
