A consultant solicitor who emailed a client with his personal bank details and a request to pay his fees into that account has been struck off for dishonesty. Gary Ackinclose, who qualified in 2001, said he had provided his own bank details due to a 'force of habit' and that the mistake was due to his being 'massively fatigued' at the time. Ackinclose said when he noticed the payment in his account he 'went into panic mode and went hurtling into the firm' to explain what had happened. 15 March 2019
