Action taken against unregistered operators

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) provided details on the latest action taken against unregistered crypto ATMs on 5 May, which saw inspections carried out as part of a joint operation with the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit, Yorkshire and Humber Regional Crime Unit and Nottingham Police Force. According to the FCA’s press release, there are currently no crypto ATM operators registered with the regulator, so all such crypto ATM operators in the UK must shut down their operations or face enforcement action.
