EMERGENCY FUND

SBA The Solicitors' Charity has created a £1m emergency fund for solicitors, including former solicitors, who are seriously impacted financially by covid-19. Applications for the personal hardship fund are now being accepted through the charity's online covid-19 support hub. Eligibility requirements include accessibility to less than £2,500 in savings. Applicants will also have been expected to seek other help such as mortgage payment holidays and to have started the process of applying for any applicable welfare benefits. 23 April 2020
