Senior judicial roles in the UK remain dominated by white men from the independent bar, the head of JUSTICE has said. A working party report (an update on a 2017 report on judicial diversity) from the law reform group said only one third of judges are female and just 7 per cent are black and minority ethnic. The report said despite the clear case for increased judicial diversity, progress has remained slow. It concluded that the current approach to judicial diversity is not working and made a series of recommendations. 29 January
