DIGITAL BADGE

The digital badge launched by the SRA in December last year will become mandatory for all firms from 25 November 2019. The badge is intended to help solicitors and law firms differentiate themselves from other legal services providers. It will link automatically from a firm's website to the firm's entry on the SRA's register, providing evidence that the firm is regulated and insured. Many are unconvinced, saying that in the cost-driven consumer market, clients will not know to look for the difference. 20 March 2019
