DEAF FOREMAN
By Nicola Laver
Lip-reading and court stenographers enabled Matthew Johnson, 54, to take the role of foreman of the jury in three trials in August, the Guardian has reported. Johnston said it's all about inclusivity, 'We want to feel included'. But he had to convince court officials before he was allowed to sit on the jury. 28 August 2019
