Completions soared as property professionals worked to beat stamp duty holiday deadline

Landmark Information Group’s July 2021 property trends report has shown completions were up 85 per cent in June 2021 versus the same period in 2019, as property professionals worked “tirelessly” to meet the stamp duty holiday deadline to ensure buyers could benefit. Property search order volumes peaked in April and May with 43 per cent and 27 per cent increases respectively, while June saw just a 9 per cent increase as attention switched to completion. CEO, Simon Brown, said it had been a “remarkable quarter”.
