Andrea Coscelli leaves office in July

Sarah Cardell has been appointed as the interim chief executive of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) by Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng. Cardell has been general counsel of the CMA since 2013 and will take over as CEO on an interim basis from Andrea Coscelli when he leaves at the end of his term in office in July. Cardell commented: “The work of the CMA to promote competition has never been more important, ensuring that prices remain as low as possible and supporting growth and innovation in our economy.”
