Two students specialising in litigation and dispute resolution will receive a prize for international arbitration

The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) has signed a sponsorship agreement with University College London (UCL) to award two LLM students enrolled on the litigation and dispute resolution specialism with the CIArb prize for international arbitration.

The prizes will be awarded to students who have achieved the highest independent research essay marks during the academic year 2014/15.

CIArb will be notified of the two recipients in December 2015, subsequent to the release of the LLM results. The names of the recipients will be published on the institute's website.

Commenting on the agreement, the director general of CIArb, Anthony Abrahams, said: 'We are delighted to be supporting the students of UCL. The CIArb prize for international arbitration aims to promote the understanding and development of international arbitration and to encourage those engaged in academia. We look forward to attending the UCL Laws' prize-giving ceremony in spring 2016 to meet the recipients.'

CIArb is a global professional membership organisation representing the interests of alternative dispute resolution practitioners worldwide.
