Unregistered barrister, Timothy J E Crosland, was ordered to be disbarred by an independent disciplinary tribunal following charges of professional misconduct brought by the Bar Standards Board. On 15 December 2020, Crosland disclosed a draft judgment relating to a third runaway at Heathrow Airport which was under embargo by the Supreme Court, knowing such disclosure was prohibited and a criminal contempt of court. The tribunal found Crosland behaved in a way likely to diminish public trust and confidence and which could reasonably be seen by the public to undermine his integrity.
