The Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP) has awarded highly-regarded property barrister Richard Alford of Tanfield Chambers an honorary membership in recognition of his contributions to the debate around leasehold enfranchisement and reform. Alford is the fourth barrister to be awarded honorary membership. ALEP introduced honorary membership last year to give official recognition to individuals who make a significant contribution to ALEP events, with the aim they will continue to play an active role in ALEP. Mark Chick, ALEP director, said the association was “privileged” and “delighted” Alford had accepted the honorary membership.
