Simmons & Simmons replaces board members

Partners Peter Meyer and Alex Brown step up

Partners Peter Meyer and Alex Brown have been elected to Simmons & Simmons’ board, replacing financial markets partner Sarah Bowles and head of Asia Paul Li.

Meyer is the international firm’s head of dispute resolution in Germany and leads its life sciences group.

Brown, a London partner in its information, communications and technology group, has held the role of graduate recruitment and development partner at Simmons & Simmons for the past four years.

The firm has also announced that Leo Verhoeff, who first joined its board in 2010, has been re-elected to serve another term. He is co-head of the private equity sub-sector group in its Amsterdam office.

Simmons & Simmons’ board now comprises: Colin Passmore; Jeremy Hoyland; Fiona Loughrey; Alyson Lockett; Patrick Wallace; Leo Verhoeff; Peter Meyer; Alex Brown; Rodger Hughes (non-executive director); David McLaughlin (finance director); and David Staiano (marketing and business development director).
