International law firm Reed Smith has announced today the appointment of two new partners in Singapore and a new partner in Hong Kong.

In Singapore, commercial arbitration and disputes lawyers Calvin Chan and Kohe Hasan have joined the firm's energy and natural resources group as partners from Skadden and Oon & Bazul, respectively.

In Hong Kong, partner Gregory Wang joins the firm's corporate group from Morrison & Foerster. Wang advises clients in Greater China on capital markets transactions and on domestic and outbound investment.

The appointments form part of Reed Smith's plans to develop holistic global sector capabilities.

"Our commitment to this global service is a core part of our business and we'll continue to grow," said Kyri Evagora, partner and co-head of the firm's energy and natural resources group.

Added Denise Jong, a corporate partner in Hong Kong: "Our clients increasingly need one firm to support their global efforts".

Since opening its Singapore office in 2012, Reed Smith has continued to expand its Southeast Asia practice. New appointments have been made in the areas of energy and natural resources, shipping, international arbitration, finance and restructuring, in line with the firm's global expansion.
