Intellectual property law firm Marshall, Gerstein & Borun has appointed Benjamin T. Horton as chair of its IP litigation practice.

Horton joined the firm nearly a decade ago and has built up a practice in complex litigation, providing advice on patents, copyrights and trademarks.

Commented managing partner Jeffrey Sharp: "His hard work and dedication to the group, coupled with his commitment to the betterment of the firm, will no doubt push our litigation practice to further success."

Horton has a degree in electrical engineering and worked for technology companies in the automotive and semiconductor industries before attending law school.
