JWS Asia Law Corporation has recruited commercial and banking disputes partner Mohammed Reza from Rajah & Tann.

Reza has been made a director of the boutique Singapore law firm, which was founded in March 2015 and has a 'best friends' relationship with Simmons & Simmons.

The global law firm established its Singapore office in 2013 as a hub to support clients throughout Southeast Asia.

"His arrival allows us to broaden our offering to clients in the financial institutions, asset management and investment funds sectors in Singapore to include advising on their contentious matters," commented Jek-Aun Long, co-founder of the firm.

Reza is experienced in advising on complex commercial and banking disputes in sectors including banking and investment, energy, insurance and sport.

JWS Asia specialises in servicing the financial institutions, asset management and investment funds sectors.

It was founded by Long and Wern-Sern Bin, who are senior funds and regulatory lawyers in Singapore. Long was previously at Allen & Gledhill and Bin was at Clifford Chance.
